A very special thank you to SFS parent Olivia Mole (Alfie, 5th) and Cristiana Ceppas (Julianna, 5th and Sean, North 4). Olivia did a fantastic job designing our fun Beatles-inspired 2011 auction logo, invitation and materials and Cristiana captured the amazing auction photo, our very own SFS ‘take’ on Abbey Road. Thank you Olivia and Cristiana!

School Leadership Opportunities
The Nominating Committee of the Board of Trustees is seeking names of individuals who would be interested in serving on the Board of Trustees or as members of Board Committees. 8th Grade Parent Round Table
8th grade parents are invited to a round table with MS Head, Julie Galles, this Wednesday, March 9 from 8 – 8:45 AM in the 8th grade room. The purpose of parent round tables is to provide an optional forum to discuss what is going on in the daily life of students at that grade level. Julie, along with school counselor Sue Porter, will start the round table with some tips and suggestions for helping the 8th graders navigate responses from high schools, and then will open up the discussion to other things on parents’ minds. Notes will be emailed out following the meeting for those unable to attend.

Shannon’s Spring Break Camp
Shannon Schneble is offering her famous Spring Break Camp on campus from March 28th to April 1st. All preschool and elementary students are welcome for a day or the entire week. Sign up flyers are in the preschool hall and on the parent board across from the front desk. The deadline for registration is this Friday, March 11th.

Reminder: Junior Counselor Application Deadline
The Junior Counselor application deadline for the summer 2011 program is March 15th. Interested middle school students can fill out the attached form and put it in Harald's mailbox.

SFS Families of Adoption Gathering
Please join us for a gathering taking place on Saturday, March 12th. This is our second gathering for this school year, and we hope that you will join us. The goal of this meeting is to bring together Families of Adoption to share and discuss our families' experiences and how we can best support our children in their education at SFS, in a proactive way. Please bring your children if you can, as it's a great time for them to connect with other kids of adoption at the school.

Saturday, March 12th, from 5:30 – 8:30 PM. Potluck Dinner. Hosted by 7th grade parents Hazel White and Matt Plut (Jake, 7th) at their house (513 Scott Street, SF 94117, 415-553-4124).
