Terry Gamble Boyer co-chaired the Search Committee. Terry served as President of the Board of Trustees 2001-2004 and has been actively involved since her children (6th grade and Class of ’05) started at The School twelve years ago in 1995. Terry is an author who has published two novels, Good Family and The Water Dancers.
Tamara J. Hicks, Psy.D., co-chaired the Search Committee. Tamara, who joined the SFS community in 1998, is the outgoing President of the Board of Trustees and has two daughters at The School (6th grade and 2nd grade). Tamara is a Clinical Psychologist with a private practice and the Lead for Disaster Mental Health of the American Red Cross-SF.
Dee Desmond, Parent of two SFS alumni (Class of ’05 and Class of ’03) joined The School in 1992. Dee is an administrator and former principal for the San Francisco Unified School District.
Alicia Fernandez, M.D., Parent (1st grade) who joined The School community in 2004. Alicia is Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at UCSF based at San Francisco General Hospital where she is currently a primary care physician.
Elena Fuentes-Afflick, M.D., Parent (Class of ’05 and 8th grade) and former Trustee, 2000-2006. Elena, whose family joined the SFS community in 1994, is a Pediatrician at UCSF based at San Francisco General Hospital.
Maria Hekker, Parent (1st Grade and 5th Grade), Trustee and Chair of the Endowment Committee. Maria joined the SFS community in 1999. An international business lawyer, Maria is the former General Counsel of Barra and the former Chief Operating Officer of Thoughtware Worldwide. She is currently working on her first mystery novel.
Russell Jones, Incoming Trustee and Parent (Preschool). Russell joined The School community in 2006. Russell is a partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP specializing in enterprise risk and data protection.
Clara Kwun, Parent (2nd grade) and
Vice President Elect of the Board of
Trustees. Clara, whose family joined The School in 2002, is a licensed clinical social worker working in private practice.
Charlie Meade, Director of Development and Parent (Preschool). Charlie joined the SFS administration in 1999 and his daughter began at The School in 2005.
Pamela Myers, Teacher, 1st grade and alumni Parent, (Class of ’82, Class of ‘84 and Class of ’90). Pamela has taught first grade at The School for 38 years, beginning in 1969.
Maggie Weis, Teacher, Physical Education and After School Director. Maggie has taught at The School for 19 years, starting at SFS in 1989.
Geoff Williams ’79, Parent (2nd grade and Preschool) and Trustee. Geoff is a member of the Class of 1979 and now chairs the Building and Grounds Committee. Geoff is a realtor in San Francisco with Paragon Realty.
Chris Yin, Trustee and Parent (2nd grade and Preschool). Chris, whose family joined the SFS community in 2002, is the chair of the Diversity Committee.
A classroom teacher since 1992,
Chris is the Freshman-Sophomore Class Dean at Lick-Wilmerding High School.
