The Grand Retirement Party
Saturday, April 30, 1-4:00 pm. An occasion to honor the careers and dedication of Laura Burges, Doug Goodkin, and Maggie Weis.
After more than 100 collective years at The San Francisco School, Laura Burges, Doug Goodkin, and Maggie Weis retired from SFS at the end of the 2019-20 school year.
Laura Burges joined SFS in 1987 teaching 3rd Grade for most of her tenure; Doug Goodkin arrived in 1975 bringing his love of music to the classroom and developing the school’s Orff music program; and Maggie Weis came to SFS in 1989 taking on a number of roles, among them PE Teacher and Lower School Head.
COVID has prevented us from gathering in person to honor their many contributions to SFS and to wish them well… until now.
We are so pleased to invite you to campus to join us in celebrating their retirements!
Advanced registration and proof of full vaccination (series + booster) are required to attend. Masking will be required indoors.
