I fell in love with SFS initially as a parent, particularly appreciating the school’s arts program, humanitarian mission, focus on social justice, and commitment to reflecting the diversity of the city.
Originally from the DC area, I have been in California since 1992, when I started my career in education as a 5th Grade teacher in Southern California. After five years in the classroom, I moved to the Bay Area for graduate school and got my MA and PhD in Education at Stanford. I have spent my career working in and with schools in a variety of capacities, primarily focused on improving education for traditionally underserved students. I fell in love with SFS initially as a parent, particularly appreciating the school’s arts program, humanitarian mission, focus on social justice, and commitment to reflecting the diversity of the city. Now as a member of the administrative team, I’m thrilled to be helping the School achieve the visions of the Strategic Plan.
