Ami Jamerson
K-5th Grade STEAM Teacher
I am lucky to work in the Field Station surrounded by nature where students are able to experiment, explore, and create connections in the expansive world of STEAM.
My teaching career began in kindergarten. There my passion for early childhood allowed me to lead inquiry-based projects that connected STEAM to the environment, literacy, and social justice. Prior to that, I worked in 3rd and then 4th grade as a teaching assistant where my commitment to joyful learning experiences was ignited. At the same time, I earned my Master’s in Education from the Bay Area Teacher Training Institute through the University of the Pacific. Throughout my years of working alongside children and families, student curiosity and wonder continuously inspire me.
In my free time, I enjoy swimming, dancing, traveling, and sharing ice cream with friends and family.
