We are proud to present the Summer 2023 edition of the Gaven St. Gazette. It’s a bittersweet reflection on our final months with departing Head of School Steve Morris, who has been at SFS for 19 years and led the School for the past 15 years. We also report on the happenings of student, staff, and community highlights, and a welcoming to our new Head of School, Juna Kim McDaid!

We are thrilled to present the Fall 2022 Gaven Street Gazette and Annual Report. Inside these pages you will read about Steve’s observations on his final year of being Head of School; reflections on the Strategic Plan that ended this year but leaves its legacy; the 2021-22 financial report; the gratitude we have for our donors and volunteers; and updates on our graduates, alumni, and extended community.

In this edition of the Gaven Street Gazette, we report on the steady return to the quintessential SFS after more than two years in a global pandemic. As the Strategic Plan 2017-2022 comes to a close, we reflect on some of our recent progress in realizing its initiatives, including the School’s commitment to anti-racism and the Family Association’s community building work.
