The San Francisco School feels like a second home to me, with a warm and inclusive community that truly feels like family. I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines, and moved to the Bay Area after earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Upon arriving here, I went back to school for my Montessori Early Childhood Education teaching credential. I feel lucky to have found my passion early in life, and I have been teaching preschool for 19 years.
After leaving SFS for two years to teach Pre-K as a co-lead at Almaden Country Day School, I returned in 2025 because my heart never left the magical school on Gaven St. My values are fully aligned with SFS’s values of diversity and inclusivity, intellectual curiosity, and community and belonging. Being back in the Preschool 3 classroom has been joyful, as I take pride in being a gentle and patient educator who helps the children feel safe, seen, heard, respected, and valued.
In my free time, I enjoy playing board games (my collection now includes close to 300 games, and I started a local gaming community in the South Bay), trying new recipes and restaurants, traveling, reading, camping, learning new languages, and spending time with my husband and our senior Corgi, Henry.
