I am starting at SFS as an Education Technologist this year, where I will help teachers and students navigate the rapid development of educational technology.
I hold a BA in Linguistics, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, and an MSc in Educational Technology. I have also taught in the classroom for five years, covering Business and Humanities.
My work sits between educational technology and classroom practice, and my aim is to bridge the two. I want teachers to have space to experiment with new tools without pressure to get it right immediately. Choosing student-facing technology involves a lot of considerations: privacy, accessibility, workload, and whether a tool helps students learn. I hope to collaborate with teachers and parents to make this process less daunting!
I care about building learning environments that are safe and human-centered, and I feel fortunate to be doing that work at SFS.
