Annual Giving allows the school to thrive and hold true to its mission.
We know that families have different abilities to give and therefore ask that every family participate at a level that is meaningful to them.
The Fund for SFS, the new name of the Annual Fund, is our most important annual fundraiser as it is the largest source of non-tuition revenue. The School relies on these unrestricted contributions to provide educational resources for students and faculty not covered by tuition. The Annual Fund takes place in the fall, running from October to December, and includes gifts from the entire community. Gifts of all sizes are welcome and appreciated!
The Walkathon and All School Picnic is a long-standing tradition where the community gathers to welcome the new school year and raise money for campus improvement projects. Since 1980, students of all grade levels have participated by walking, jogging and running laps in an hour-long event. The All School Picnic that follows provides families the opportunity to reconnect with friends and meet new families.
The 2017 Walkathon and All School Picnic is scheduled for Sunday, September 24!
Fund-A-Need Video, 2015 Auction for Tuition Assistance
The Auction for Tuition Assistance is a multi-faceted fundraising effort, held in March of each year, that includes both an Online Auction and a fun-filled Auction evening event. The Auction raises funds for the school’s Indexed Tuition Program. 100% of the proceeds go to supporting our core commitment to tuition assistance.
More than 300 parents, alumni parents, alumni (21+), grandparents, community members and friends of SFS participate in the online auction and/or attend the live event. Parents are also asked to volunteer their time and resources by soliciting and/or donating items to be auctioned.
